FAQ

Questions, answered.

How Gexad manages your account, what it will and won't do on its own, billing and your data — in plain words.

Getting started

What is Gexad?

Gexad is an AI Google Ads manager. Every day it goes through your Google Ads account, website and conversion tracking, finds what's costing you customers, and fixes it — applying only the changes you approve or allow it to make on its own.

Who is Gexad for?

Business owners who run their own Google Ads and don't want to pay an agency, and teams or agencies managing several accounts. There's one plan with everything included, unlimited Google Ads accounts and team members.

How long does setup take?

A few minutes. Onboarding has four steps: your business details, connecting Google Ads, your website, and the account audit. Recommendations start appearing right after.

How soon will I see results?

The first findings appear as soon as the audit finishes. Google Ads itself needs time to learn after changes — usually one to two weeks — so Gexad's bid autopilot changes a campaign's price at most once a day and lets each change prove itself before the next. Expect steady improvement, not overnight jumps.

How Gexad manages your account

How does Gexad set my price per click (max CPC)?

On “Maximize clicks” campaigns Gexad sets the highest price per click every day from your own results: it starts at the typical top-of-page bid for your keywords (about $2 when Google doesn't share that estimate), raises it when your ads lose auctions on ad rank — doubling it when they hardly show at all — and never sets it above twice what clicks for your keywords cost on the market (about $10 until that price is known). Your daily budget never decides the price of a click. It never lowers the price of a campaign that's barely showing. Once a campaign has 10 conversions in 14 days and tracking is verified, Gexad moves it to “Maximize conversions” at the cost per conversion it actually achieved.

What's the difference between the max CPC and the daily budget?

The daily budget is what a campaign may spend in a day in total. The max CPC is the most one click may cost. Raising the max CPC doesn't raise your spending — it lets your ads win auctions they were losing. Google may spend up to twice the daily budget on a busy day, but over a month never more than about 30.4 times it.

Will Gexad raise my budget on its own?

Only if your budget automation level allows it. Under “Controlled growth” it proposes gradual increases when a campaign wins customers cheaply but runs out of budget — at most 15% per change by default — and never past the daily spend ceiling you can set in Budget settings. Budget changes wait while conversion tracking can't be trusted.

How does Gexad block wasted searches?

Every day it reads the searches your ads showed for and finds the ones that aren't what you sell — job seekers, students, people looking for a competitor or something else entirely. Turn on “Block irrelevant searches automatically” and it adds them as negative keywords itself; leave it off and it asks you first. It never adds a negative that would block one of your own keywords, and removes one that already does.

Does Gexad fix my conversion tracking?

Gexad checks your conversion actions and tags on a schedule and fixes the settings Google lets it change through the API — for example counting a sign-up once per click instead of every time. Some conversion types (such as ones created without code in Google Ads) can only be changed by you; for those Gexad tells you exactly what to change and where.

Why won't my new ad go live in a full ad group?

Google allows at most three active responsive search ads in one ad group. Gexad pauses one first to make room — the one you tick, or the weakest one automatically if you turn on “Pause the weakest ad automatically”. If Google then rejects the new ad, the paused one is turned back on.

How does Gexad find my competitors?

Every morning Gexad reads Google Ads auction insights — who shows up in the same auctions as you. Google shares these with only some API developers, so until it does for your account Gexad searches the web for businesses selling the same thing to the same customers, and links each one to the page that shows it.

How often is my data updated?

Automatically: campaigns, keywords, ads and results sync from Google Ads through the day, competitors are checked every morning, bids and search terms are reviewed daily, and conversion tracking is diagnosed on a schedule. You don't need to press sync.

AI, automation & approvals

Will Gexad change my account without asking?

Not unless you allow it. Every account starts with “Approval required”: each change to your campaigns waits for you. You can move to limited or full autonomy for budget and bid changes, and switch on automatic search blocking separately — always within the guardrails you set. The exception is a broken conversion setting Google lets Gexad correct (for example counting a sign-up once per click): that is fixed right away and shown to you as done, and if you change it back, Gexad leaves it. Every change is recorded in the Activity history.

What are guardrails?

Limits no change can cross: the maximum size of a change, a daily spend ceiling for the account, campaigns Gexad's budget changes must never touch, and the minimum confidence required before acting. Budget changes are also held back while conversion tracking is unreliable.

How do I know a recommendation is right?

Each recommendation links to the evidence behind it — the campaign, the search term or the tracking diagnosis — and labels values as observed, calculated, estimated or modeled. An estimate is never shown as measured revenue. After a change is applied, Gexad reads it back from Google Ads and only marks it done when it matches.

Does Gexad create new campaigns?

Yes. The AI Campaign Builder writes a complete Search or Performance Max campaign from your website — ad groups, keywords, ads, locations, budget and, for Performance Max, pictures. You review and edit the draft, and it's created paused: nothing spends until you turn it on.

Can the AI make things up in my ads?

Ad claims are checked against the facts you gave about your business and against Google's ad rules, and unsupported claims are flagged for you to replace or keep. Nothing is published without your approval, and you remain responsible for what you publish.

Agencies & teams

Is Gexad a good fit for agencies?

Yes. Manage every client from one login, each as its own website, all of them on the "All websites" screen. Gexad's AI agents do the daily Google Ads work in every client — blocking wasted searches, writing and testing ads, moving budget, adjusting bids, watching competitors, checking tracking and preparing reports — so you can take on more clients without hiring more specialists. Your team approves, or lets the agents act within your limits.

Can I manage several client accounts from one place (MCC)?

Yes. Sign in with Google once; Gexad lists the accounts your login can reach, including client accounts under a manager (MCC) account. Add each client as a website — its own account, campaigns, budget, competitors and reports. "All websites" shows them all on one screen: spend, conversions, cost per conversion, what's waiting for you and what Gexad did in the last 24 hours.

Can I add my team and my clients?

Yes, with roles. Owners and admins manage billing, members and connections; members run the account; read-only users see everything and change nothing — a good fit for a client. Members are unlimited, and every change is recorded with who made it.

Can I send clients reports with my own logo?

Yes. In Reports, “Report branding” takes your logo, name, colour, who the report is for and a footer note. “Download PDF” then makes a detailed report of any period — key figures against the previous period, daily charts, every campaign, what was improved and what's next — with your branding on every page, not Gexad's. Last month's report is also emailed automatically on the first days of each month — to you, and to your client if you add their address.

How are several client accounts priced?

Each client account is priced by its own monthly ad spend, from $39 a month billed yearly, with everything included. Agencies managing many clients can ask us for volume pricing through the contact form.

Plans & billing

Is there a free trial?

Your first 30 days are free, with everything included — the AI, competitor analysis and changes to your Google Ads. You add a card when you start; nothing is charged until the trial ends, and we email you 3 days before it does. Cancel any time before then in Settings → Billing and you pay nothing — your campaigns, ads and keywords stay in your Google Ads account. The free trial is for a business's first subscription. Gexad's account analysis is free without a card.

How much does Gexad cost?

There's one plan with everything included, priced by your monthly Google Ads spend: $49 a month up to $5k of spend, $329 up to $50k, $1,899 up to $500k — cheaper per dollar as spend grows, and 20% less billed yearly. Over $500k is priced individually. The pricing page has a slider for your spend.

Is the AI included, or do I need my own API key?

Included. Gexad's AI is built in and covered by the plan price — no AI account, no API key of your own and no separate AI bill.

How am I billed?

Monthly or yearly in advance, in US dollars, through our payment processor Stripe, plus any applicable taxes. You manage your plan in Settings → Billing.

Can I cancel or change my tier?

Yes, in Settings → Billing. A cancelled plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. If your spend stays above your tier for two months in a row, you move up a tier from the next month — we email you first.

Privacy & security

Do you sell my data or use it to train AI?

No. We don't sell your data, and we don't use Google user data to develop or train generalized AI models. When an AI feature uses your data, it's sent only to produce the output you asked for.

How is my data protected?

Connections are encrypted with HTTPS, Google access tokens are encrypted at rest, passwords are stored only as hashes, and each organization's data is visible only to its members according to their roles.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Send a privacy request through the contact form or email us from your account's address, and we delete your account and your organization's data within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep.
